A Little Vacation

Yesterday (Thursday) we got out roofing project all finished. We also had another 50 kids come for the health and hygiene class.  We got started on painting and then finished the day with a nice dinner of ribs (and very good ones I might add).

Today (Friday) we got to take a break from working and we went into Antigua, the original capital of Guatemala, and explored the area a bit. First we visited a coffee plantation were we got a tour through a music museum on the history of music in Guatemala, then we got a tour through the process of growing and roasting coffee beans. Then we went to the public market to explore and buy anything that caught our eye. Once we were done in the market we drove to the public square in Antigua to get ice cream and then returned back to Amatitlan. Sadly Chris Burgess was feeling sick today and was unable to go with us on the tour day, so keep him in your prayers for him to get better.

We just have one more day of of painting and teaching the kids before returning home. It feels like we just got here!
