Finishing up

Today we got all our painting done. We painted the sanctuary And a few other areas. Later in the day we helped with the weekly kids club at the Church. The kids come in the afternoon, they have a catechism class, sing songs, then we did a puppet show and skit, and then they stay for a whole to play around in the yard behind the Church. They played jump rope, Frisbee, and a lot of soccer. Once the kids all left we say down got dinner and our nightly team meeting and devotion. We went up to pack and go to sleep. We have a long day of flying again tomorrow. We'll be home soon!

Welcome to the Blog

Welcome to the blog for the 2018 Guatemala Construction, Health & Hygiene Team! We are a group of 11 from St Paul Lutheran Church in Northville, Michigan from ages 16 to 76.  We will be led by Barbara Hoffmeier, a Team Leader trained and supported by MOST Ministries. We will leave on April 2nd and return on the 8 th. We are committed to serving the people of Amatilan with our Host Dr Elroy. He maintains a Health Clinic there and also leads a church group. Our mission is to help with some maintenance projects at the facility and teach Health and Hygiene Classes to adults and children. We will stay at the mission, which is our work-site. We will work along side the members of the church and hope to encourage them with their work in the community. Please pray for our team as we prepare for this trip and that our efforts will be productive for the mission there.
